Every day that passes, he looks less like a baby and more like a little boy. It's breathtaking.

Also, I can tell he's growing up because I'm starting to worry less about him hurting himself and more about him breaking my things.

I've been trying to load this video for weeks now, but the blog kept choking on it.  At any rate, I finally managed to get it loaded.  Enjoy!

Rufus

We adopted him from a shelter.  He's very sweet and good with Xander, although Xander's been a bit jealous since Rufus came on the scene.  But he's adjusting.  

So far, we've trained Rufus to sit and that he's not allowed on the furniture when humans are in the room.  He's already housebroken, and he doesn't chew.  He just wants love and meat products.  Also, he rarely barks.  He's wonderful!

One year old

This is my precious cherub at twelve months.  Yes, that is the dirty diaper hamper he is clinging to so joyfully.  He's learning to walk, and he loves pushing that thing around.

He stands!

Last time he was measured, he was 30 inches tall.  That's two and a half feet to you and me.  And yet we still have to roll his pant legs up.  

Xander dances

Proof that our child is preternaturally talented.  Or else he has an attraction to the conga.

Does Xander still have blue eyes?

Yes.  He also eats a lot of Cheerios.
